Announcing 2022 contest winners

Congratulations to the 2022 winners of the Excellence in Journalism awards contest.

The Society of Professional Journalists Greater Oregon and Western Washington chapters are releasing the names of winners ahead of announcing final results.

The two chapters, which co-run the annual awards program, will announce the final placements and categories on June 1.

The contest spans SPJ Region 10, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. It is one of the largest contests of its kind in the nation and continues to recognize the excellent work of journalists in the northwest and beyond.
