SPJ Oregon is now accepting nominations for Rookie of the Year awards for 2020 and 2021.
This award is presented to a journalist who has had their first full-time, non-internship reporting job in the previous calendar year. The Rookie of the Year is honored for a body of work, not just one journalistic project.

Our conference is going virtual this year
We've got our eyes set on early April for the SPJ Oregon 2021 annual conference.
The conference will be entirely virtual this year, which can be a bummer for folks who look forward to the meet-and-greets. But this is also an opportunity to provide training to professional and aspiring journalists who can't normally make the drive to Portland or Eugene.
